The club began in the early 1960's in the Beacon pub on the Lawe Top in South Shields and then moved to the Marsden Inn where it remained for almost 30 years.

 

Then followed stints at the Old Ship at Harton, Westoe Rugby Club, and latterly the Customs House.

 

In October 2019 we moved to our current venue South Tyneside Indoor Bowls Centre at the Jack Clark Park.

 

Along the way we also picked up a number of former members of the late, lamented South Tyne Folk & Blues Club (including the legendary Bob Gilroy).
